After searching youtube unsuccessfully for a video of a professional recording of an exhaust system for a truck, I decided to make my own. This is my '06 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi with 2.5" headers to dual cats then combined in a single 3" pipe into a Flowmaster 44 Delta Force muffler. The muffler is a 3" center in, 3" center out. The pipe comes out in front of the rear right tire. The video is recorded on a Kodak Zi6 and solely recorded to give you something to look at (this video focuses on the sound). The sound was captured through an Audio Technica AT3035 cardioid microphone without the low cut and the PAD activated. The mic is powered with a Behringer Eurorack MX 1604a before hitting a Digidesign mbox 2. The software used was protools 7.4 LE. There was no plugins used besides the stock protools compressor to help with the levels. I hope this helps in making your exhaust purchase. I love the sound that is achieved with the Flowmaster.
